Justproud V2.0

After some radio silence, being busy creating our new version, we are preparing a cool introduction of Justproud V2.0. The new version will include much more fashion content; 2 top notch editors joined our team. And because Justproud is all about peoples involvement in fashion, we thought it will be cool when we will facilitate cool fashion news of our members as well. That is also the reason why it takes some longer to finish Justproud V2.0, because we will have to create this option in multiple languages. We will count down from now, to early December, when we expect to go live.

In the meantime we are awarded again! We are honored and humble by winning the Davey Award & being shortlisted at the Lovie Awards. Thanks  to our loyal members we received this international recognition.

Ok, ok, now we will continue to think how we will create the cool introduction; with more opportunities for you!

V2.0 after the summer

Yes and it’s summertime, we love to have long evenings at the beach, drinks at the terraces and of course to create a new version of Justproud; JUSTPROUD V2.0

The past year we have made a huge step in creating your global fashion community & now it’s time to take it 1 step further again. To create even more added value for you!

Preview Wireframe V1.9 

Here you can see the preview of our new wireframe; the minimum quality standard will be higher, the emphasis is on user generated content (designs, pictures & yes articles & videos as well);  we expect to be live with the new version at the end of summer.

These are our thoughts on Justproud V2.0:

• Global fashion community
• User generated content (designs / pictures / articles & movies )
• More fashion related news (product reviews, campaigns etc.)
• Global & local matchmaking (with whom can you collaborate)
• Video content (fashion shows / behind the scenes / tutorials )
• Open castings local
• Global competitions
• Opportunity for designers to sell directly through your community
• Co-creation opportunities

In the meantime we have to close our shop (to rebuild it & add new features) and we will update all content & profiles; in the new version one have to have a profile picture so we know each person behind the member account & and place so we can do the local matchmaking.

The lookbook-section will be cleaned, over time many pictures sneaked through our system but didn’t meet our Lookbook rules.  “MY JUSTPROUD” will be replaced to the top of the page (and not in the navigation) and will be enriched by local matchmaking (who joined JUSTPROUD in your neighborhood) .

We are 2 days into summer already & we definitely like it :-) We will use summer to redefine Justproud & see how we will improve the site, functionalities & especially the added value.

Top 25 so far & new design

After the last Top 30 now we have a real TOP25. The differences between all contestants is still small but still slowly bigger than 2 weeks ago.

In general we see that models are in amount the most active to participate, but photographers & designers are more eager to get votes apparently. But the contest remains still 33 days, so a lot can change.

Next week the design from our previous winner Hazerico will be in presale; very exciting to see if all fans also will buy the design. We are also looking forward to the photoshoot with  Alena in August.

That will give us an opportunity to shoot some new content for the site trailer together with Alena as well;

Talking about the site. We are currently in the process of redesigning the site & adding some functionalities. We started off with a simple one for the first contest, few months later we introduced the co-creation site, than we created the current site because of our partnership with MSN  & now we are reengineering the current site to the platform where we will provide more added value, not only co-creation but also a lot of networking opportunities.  

Soon we hope to present you some screenshot of the new design.

Justproud awarded

Yes, we did it again; together with you all we recieved the Horizon Interactive Award; in the category "social media"we won Silver! 
Its always nice to get industry recognition, especially when it is 5 times! :-)

In the meantime we are busy aranging the shoot with the winners;
Currently we are finalizing all contracts, visa & setting a date for the shoot. Our winning designs is in (Hazerico, our Italian winner, sent the final sample incl the sketch & made us very happy!)

Winners 2nd International contest

Woop, woop, After 2 months of competing our 2nd International Contest had  over 800 contestants. After checking the votes we are very proud to announce the winners:

Winning designer: Hazerico - Italy

She began her fashion adventure designing accessories for some boutiques in London and Istanbul while studying Marketing in Kocaeli University. After that she took LaSalle Fashion Design Education and attended the fashion courses at Sydney Tafe Institute, Australia, where she lived for three years. In her country she joined in working life the enjoyable and didactic team of the most important brand of Turkey, Derishow. After that experience she began to design clothes and accessories for boutiques in Istanbul, Milano and Florida. Combining her two passions, creation and travel along different and new places, she moved to Italy and completed her first collection “HAZERICO 2011 SPRING\SUMMER”

The announcement of contest winners

Oops, due to the massive amounts of votes we have to check, we have a small delay  in announcing the winners. 

We expect to announce the winner in the beginning of next week (around April 18th) Thanks for understanding.

Our Fashion quiz is running nicely, many memebers did complete the quiz & for now the result is:

Fashion quiz live!

Almost at the end of the contest we started a new initiative: our fashion quiz. 

A quiz with 10 questions to determine which fashion style you have. In the quiz we incorporated some of our members as well. 

The quiz is online for 12 hours now & the members who made the test could be divided into 5 categories:

Classic = 28,8%

Glamour = 26,8%

Trendsetter = 19,6%

Girly style = 14,4%

Street style =  10,3%

We hope this will give a better insight to our designers;

Over time we will give you regular updates on this & will develop more tests.

Final contest update

Support Japan – buy a T-shirt

JUSTPROUD supports Japan and organized a fundraising. For every purchase of anyJUSTPROUD t-shirt between the 15^thuntil the 31^stof March, we donate $7 dollars to the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Tsunami & mega-quake Japan

Our heart is with all the people in Japan; we hope that the situation will recover soon; 

US, Australia and whole Pacific region are on tsunami alert after this mega-quake strikes Japan. 
A tsunami warning has been issued right across the Pacific region including Hawaii, the west coast of the United States, South America and Australia after Japan was struck by a devastating earthquake in the early hours of this morning.
Obviously we are thinking of extending the contest; because we have many members in this region & also members who are high in the contest.


We will follow the situation carefully & update you on the effect on the contest & more important we think how we can support  the Japanese people via Justproud.

Site updates & FB change

Our contest started 2 weeks ago and already we have many contestants; so cool to see that people form over 20 countries entered already; and yes, its growing;

End of February we will give you a top-ranking in each category.

Design update

While creating the contest we took the opportunity to change a part of the site design; therefor it took some longer to started with the contest, but we are very happy with the result;

The profile page of the contest is renewed; the pictures are bigger so people can show themselves better;  and the page with all contestants is nicer (at least that is what we think).

We have also changed our Facebook page; we included a shop opportunity & the welcome page is dedicated to the contest.

As you see we are in full speed, to boost the community & are very happy with your effort to do the same!

Contest information!

The contest is started and we have already over more than 70 entries and growing; very cool!
When we started we decided to make the % of votes visible to everybody, but at the last testing round we had to conclude that this would give the chance to manipulate the system (unvoting & fraud).
Unfortunately in the version which was set live, the % where included.

Yesterday evening we have adjusted the system; not showing the % of votes anymore, but our system still keep track on them; so now at all contestants its says "0%" votes.
In the upcoming hours we will see how we can take away this as well, because it doesn't represent your actual %.
So basically nothing has change at the amount of votes the contestant has earned. Thanks for understanding & good luck with the contest!

2nd International Contest Started!

Yes, yes, yes, we did it again (with you support). We are proud to announce that the 2nd international contest is open from the 1^st of February until the 31^st of March. YOU create the new fashion collection and campaign!

Anyone can take part by uploading or influencing designs and choosing the model and photographer. The winners attend the shoot of JUSTPROUD in Asia or Europe at the end of April!

Contest will start February 1st

Yes, we know it took some longer than we expected to start the new International Contest. But now its time to share with you that it will all start at Feb 1st!
So only a few more nights of sleep & everybody can enter! 

YES, you can pre-order

As announced at the end of the year; we will increase the activities on the design process. 
So now, for the first time, it’s possible to pre-order a design of a member in the shop! The community has selected some popular designs that you can now pre-order in the shop so it can get produced.
Support the members Christopher, Stefy, Yina, Floriaan and Grandi to realize their fashion dreams. Pre-order the design to show your appreciation for their work and talent.Christopher created an elegant winter blouse, while Grandi and Floriaan both designed summer t-shirts, both with an interesting story behind the design. Yina and Stefy share their dress designs with us. Yina’s design is multifunctional too as it can also be worn as a top.

PRE-ORDERING
Pre-orders tell us how many members would like to wear the design. This is important as JUSTPROUD doesn't want to create designs that members don't feel like wearing. When you place a pre-order you will not have to finish the payment. You'll get a notification for the payment when the design is produced, so you can still change your mind.

JUSTPROUD is a community where fashion talents get connected to realize their dream. We offer you a platform so you can design, model and photograph together with other members.

The process
Designs uploaded by members get promoted by them and gain votes. Models and photographers who like the design connect their profile to let us know that they’d like to attend a shoot for the designs. When a design gets enough votes it becomes pre-orderable in the shop. As soon as the design receives enough pre-orders, it will be produced and shipped. The photo shoot with the most popular model and designer can also start!

So today is a very special day as we together make progress in realizing the concept of JUSTPROUD.
