Justproud V1.0 beta is live

Yes, today we are live with the new version of JUSTPROUD.

First of all we’d like to thank you for all your input and effort. Our beta-version gave great insights on how we can facilitate our members better. So we are looking forward to your reactions.

In the upcoming days we will improve all imperfect items that we’ll find together; so if you find something, please let us know.

So what did we do?

We enhanced the site; from “only co-creation” into a fashion platform.

This way we will have more interesting items for and by fashion lovers. People can give opinions, share looks as an inspiration for our designers. At the end of the day, the fashion lovers are the ones who will buy the co-created apparel.

Main infrastructure changes:

There has been an activity stream added, so people see what other people do on the site, this will inspire people to cross navigate through the site.

Facebook & MSN messenger connect were also integrated; which makes it easier for people to join, comment and vote.

And we are now fully running on Microsoft Azure.

Opinions:

Here we (and in a later version you) write a fashion story and ask our members to share their opinions; by doing so the designers (& and other co-creators) will learn more about the insights of the fashion lovers who are their target group for buyingfashion items.

Lookbook:

At our lookbook members from all over the world are able to upload their own clothing style. They have the opportunity to tag the brands they are wearing; so it’s both an inspiration for our co-creators as well as for other members.

Co-creation

We changed the design of this section; current members are advised to check their profile.

Now it’s easier to search for members (yes, we have a full name search) and for projects. On the profiles people can comment and you will be able to reply.

Now a more sensitive item; on the voting part we adjusted the required votes to go to the next stage; the reason will be announced within a few days. You all will be happy.

Shop

Here we will sell our co-created items; we expect it to go live early October. It will be fully integrated with in our site and member base.

New version live

JUSTPROUD is about ready to go live with her new version of the website.

We aim to be live Wednesday September 15^th . Today & tomorrow we will work on getting the last items done. Tuesday we will be offline as we have to migrate all data.

We expect to be online with the Dutch version on Monday September 20^th .

Other languages will follow later this year & early next year.

We received the photo-shoot samples of the first designs & are soo happy with them. Its cool to see how we created this together with you & see it come alive!

In our V1.0 we will cover more fashion news & therefor we are looking for fashionbloggers. So if you have a great fashion blog, please contact us.

Currently In Holland & Belgium we started a joint promotion with Unilever's Yunomi. 

Various women magazines (Viva) include the ad below; in the center there is a code to win a Justproud T-shirt.

Last week of debugging

Almost weekend and we have the new site running smoothly on our computers. We expect the last days of debugging and bugfixing next week & migration of the database of the current site. This means we will have to put the old site offline for a few hours to put the new one live!

Partnership with Unilever

As from today the members of Yunomi, the biggest women community in The Netherlands & Belgium, have a chance to win an exclusive JUSTPROUD T-shirt.

Via the major womens magazines in these countries numerous codes are distributed. The winning codes are entitled to an exclusive Justproud T-shirt. The Yunomi members can submit design for the T-shirt & together they will choose the winning design.

This is the first of several promotional actions Justproud will have throughout the world. Our new site will go live next month & then we will present our partners to you.

Cool hangtag & Bulgaria

Site:

The site is coming together; new features, new design & the opportunity to make several languages. We will start with an English & Dutch version. New languages are on their way.

The main features will include a ‘live feed’ like Facebook. So now it will be pretty easy to follow the people you like & the designs you like.

On development we have some challenges because the techniques we are using are the best for our purpose, but are very new. Not many developers are skilled enough to make enough progress. We are teaming up with Microsoft on various new services & techniques. Our co-founder & CTO Djon Kleine is busier each day with his small development team to make sure we will have a great site at launch.

Production:

We will receive the final sample today and we are very excited about that. We are informed about the characteristics of the fabrics and these do meet our high quality standards.

Each production run (item) will have their own hangtag with the winners & the winning designer will be included in the name label as well.

New label & site versions

Planning

Next month we will go live with our site V1.0 including the shop!

First production

Over the last months we have worked intensively; we learned, adjusted & will continue learning.

We just received the first samples of the designs form our manufacturing partner Dupon & de Bruin. We made a few changes and will expect to produce quickly.

Design process

We made a few adjustments to our design process; in the new version of the site designers can submit their ideas without providing us a pattern. We will create the apparel from their rough ideas; this way we simplify the production process & ensure quality.

Due to our media partners we will have higher traffic, so we have to adjust the amount of votes to get items into pre-ordering.

Together this will enable more people to get designs produced.
